Network Maintenance Notification – 10th December 2021

The following notification is to inform you of planned maintenance on the Syscomm Network which may affect your services.

Network and Transit:

Brief interruption to service availability for the following services:

  • xDSL services (inc ADSL, GEA-FTTC, GEA-FTTP)
  • Dedicated Ethernet services (inc Ethernet, EFM, EoFTTX)
  • Public Internet transit for Cloud and Hosted Services
  • MPLS and PWAN Breakouts
  • L2TP xDSL delivery
  • PWAN Interconnect Services

Cloud & Hosted Services:

  • Network access to virtual infrastructure may be momentarily impacted
  • Hosted Platforms (Exchange/Customer Portal/Web Hosting/Hosted Voice)

Service Impact:

Cloud & Hosted Services:

Periodic, momentary interruption for server access to the network.
Access to hosted services from outside of the Syscomm network may be periodically unavailable.

Network and Transit:

Periodic interruption to networking routing.
Resilient services will reconnect as services are failed-over between routers.
Non-resilient services will experience brief losses of forwarding.

xDSL Platform:

Periodic PPP drops as services are re-balanced on our LTS/LNS platforms.
Some circuits will experience brief periods of disconnection.

Outage Reason:

This window has been scheduled to extend our network reliability and deploy service improvements to ensure the long-term stability of customer systems and connections.

We will be conducting minor network enhancements to support network growth and enacting maintenance routines to improve stability and provide additional capability.

It is anticipated that services will be typically available throughout this window, but users should plan for a risk of interruption to service during the maintenance.

Should customers continue to have issues beyond the completion of the maintenance window, please raise this to the attention of our support teams through your primary support channels (typically the Syscomm Portal).

Urgent Systems Maintenance – 9th-10th Sept 2021

The following notification is to inform you of urgent maintenance on Syscomm hosted systems infrastructure which may affect your services.

  • Cloud Connect

Service Impact:

Cloud Connect:

The Cloud Connect platform will be unavailable throughout the window as essential maintenance is undertaken.

Outage Reason:

This window has been scheduled to perform urgent maintenance on elements supporting the Cloud Connect infrastructure in order to prevent future service risk and improve scalability.

This window has been scheduled at short notice to mitigate an identified risk and at vendor recommendation.

It is anticipated that service will be unavailable throughout this window, Cloud Connect jobs should catch up once the platform is re-enabled depending on your backup window rules.
